Privacy Policy

Who We Are
This website is operated by Sardar Atamoglanov, doing business as MiddleUpMask, 133 Richmond St W, Toronto, ON M5H 2L3, Canada (“we,” “us,” “our”). We are responsible for the personal information collected through our online store.

We are glad you’re interested in our store. Protecting your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Website Access Data and Hosting
You can browse our website without giving us any personal information. When you visit, our web server automatically records certain technical data, such as your IP address, the page you requested, the date and time of your visit, and your browser and device type. We use this data only to keep the website running smoothly, keep it secure, and improve our store.

Our store is hosted by our e-commerce platform provider, which processes data on our behalf. Our service providers may store and process data in Canada, the United States, and other countries. When your information is processed outside your home country, it may be subject to the laws of that country.

2. Orders, Customer Accounts, and Communication

2.1 Orders
When you place an order, we collect the information needed to complete it, such as your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and order details. Required fields are marked; we can’t process your order without them. We keep order records for as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes, and then delete or anonymize them unless you’ve agreed to further use.

2.2 Customer Account
If you create a customer account, we collect the information you provide in the sign-up form. We use it to manage your account and orders and to respond to your requests. You can delete your account at any time through your account settings or by emailing us. After deletion, we remove your account data unless we are legally required to keep it.

2.3 Contacting Us
When you contact us by email or through a contact form, we use the information you provide to respond to your request. Once your request is resolved, we delete this information unless we need to keep it for legal reasons or you’ve agreed to further use.

3. Shipping
To deliver your order, we share your name, address, and contact details with the shipping carriers that deliver it. If a supplier or manufacturer ships products directly to you, we share the same delivery information with them. Some of these partners may be located outside Canada, including in the United States and China.

4. Payment Processing

4.1 Processing Payments
Depending on the payment method you choose, we share the information needed to complete your payment with payment processors, banks, or payment service providers such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Klarna. Some providers collect your payment details directly on their own pages or through checkout integrations. We do not store your full credit card number.

4.2 Fraud Prevention
We and our payment partners may use additional order and device information to detect and prevent fraud, handle disputed payments, and manage billing and accounting.

4.3 Klarna
If you choose a Klarna payment option, your information is shared with Klarna, which may carry out identity and credit checks to decide whether to offer that option. Klarna processes your data under its own privacy policy, available on Klarna’s website.

5. Email Marketing

5.1 Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we use your email address to send you updates, offers, and promotions with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in any email or by contacting us. After you unsubscribe, we remove your email address from our mailing list.

5.2 Email Service Providers
Our newsletters may be sent through email marketing providers acting on our behalf. These providers may store data in the United States.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make our website work and to improve your experience. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain so we can recognize your browser on your next visit.

Some cookies are strictly necessary, for example to keep items in your shopping cart. Others are used for analytics and marketing, as described below. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. Each major browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Opera) provides instructions in its help pages.

7. Analytics and Advertising

7.1 Google
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Google collects data such as your IP address, visit time, device and browser information, and how you interact with our site. This data may be transferred to and stored on Google servers in the United States. If we embed YouTube videos, Google receives data about your visit only when you play a video. More information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy.

7.2 Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
We may use the Meta Pixel and Meta advertising tools to measure the effectiveness of our ads and show you relevant ads on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms. The Meta Pixel collects data such as your IP address, browser and device information, and actions you take on our site, such as viewing products or making a purchase. It may also use securely hashed contact information, such as your email address, to match visitors with Meta users. Meta may combine this data with information from your Meta account. This data may be transferred to and stored in the United States. More information is available in Meta’s Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of targeted advertising as described on our Your Privacy Choices page.

8. Social Media

8.1 Social Media Links
Our website contains links to our social media pages. These are simple links; no data is sent to the social network until you click on them.

8.2 Our Social Media Pages
When you visit our pages on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube, the platform operators collect and process your data under their own privacy policies. These platforms may use your data to create usage profiles and show you ads. For details on how they handle your data and how to adjust your privacy settings, please see the privacy policies of Meta and Google.

9. Data Retention and Security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.
